KCP Products, located in Central Florida, is a privately owned and operated wire manufacturer with over 50 years of experience in the wire and cable industry. Founded in 2000 by James Giammarinaro, KCP Products originally began as a wire engineering and consulting company. Mr. Giammarinaro’s extensive resume in the wire industry began at Prestolite Wire in the late 1960s, where he worked as a technician in the Research and Development Department. He continued his career in the wire industry as Quality Assurance Manager at Kravex Division of Echlin Corporation in Miami, FL in the late 70s & early 80s, and founded Madison Wire and Cable in 1982.
Some of his other accomplishments include expanding Madison Wires sales & production into Europe; starting Wiretec, a division of Madison wire that manufactured custom wire sets, creating the Magstar brand of ignition cables, and developing a global manufacturing and distribution network for Madison Wire & Wiretec.
After retiring from Madison Wire in 1999, Mr. Giammarinaro was frequently called on by his former company and customers for his expertise in the wire industry so in 2000 he started KCP Products, Inc. as a wire engineering and consulting company. Two years into his new venture Mr. Giammarinaro’s biggest struggle was finding a conductor supplier who could manufacture a well-engineered conductor, in a timely fashion, with the quality his customers expected. With the call for a good conductor supplier growing louder, KCP Products answered the call in 2002 acquiring the necessary space, equipment, and personnel to begin manufacturing and supplying quality ignition wire conductor to it’s customers.
Since 2002 we have grown into a global supplier and manufacturer of conductive wire for wire and cable applications, ignition wire core products, heating cord, and custom wire winding. With customers in over 20 countries, our high quality standards are constantly monitored to ensure our products meet or exceed SAE, ISO. and EEC requirements, but more important is our commitment to meeting your requirements.
From the beginning of KCP Products, Mr. Giammarinaro’s son Corey has been his protégé and now Corey runs the day to day operations and assists in product development matters.
